January 8, 2007 — JVC Adopts Kestrelink Networking Solution for New SophistiTM Networked Home Theater Systems

Kestrelink Corporation, a leading provider of middleware solutions for network printing and streaming multimedia solutions, has partnered with Ubicom, Inc., a major provider of network CPUs, to offer networked printing and MFP solutions for OEMs targeting small office/home office (SOHO) users. KestrelPrintTM introduces features that automate the initial setup of configuring low cost printers to be connected wirelessly in a SOHO network, including streamlining the network connect and driver installation processes. The new KestrelMedia™ DMP platform from Kestrelink enables consumers to access a much broader range of audio and video content for use with their existing audio/video (AV) equipment, freeing the consumer from traditional constraints associated with hard-wired sources or content stored on physical portable media. As a result, consumers can experience videos, music, and digital photos on their TVs and/or stereo systems at DVD or CD quality while accessing this content over their wireless network.
